From 23–29 September 2025, Petrklíč help, z.s. hosted the week-long Intensive Energy-Saving Training (IEST) youth exchange in Řeka, Czech Republic (Beskydy region). The programme gathered young people from across Europe to explore practical energy-saving methods, sustainable living, and the development of local eco-initiatives.
Over the week, participants took part in practical workshops, team tasks, creative challenges, and outdoor activities in nature. Team tasks were grounded in a learning-by-doing approach: from an energy audit of everyday habits at home to planning local information campaigns.
Results and outcomes
- Personal action plans for energy saving at home, at school, and in the community.
- Drafted mini-campaigns and workshop scripts for local eco-initiatives.
- New partnerships among participants for future joint projects.
The event was held with the support of the European Union under the Erasmus+ programme (project code: 2022-2-PL01-KA220-YOU-000098102).
We sincerely thank the youth leaders, facilitators, partners, and—above all—every participant for your curiosity, kindness, and energy. Your ideas and teamwork made this exchange a truly community-driven experience.
