In Slatina, Romania, from 10 to 18 October 2025, the Lifelong Skills for Resilient Youth (LSRY) exchange took place — a series of non-formal learning sessions focused on developing soft skills: effective communication, trust-building, and confident action in diverse situations.

Petrklíč help, z.s. joined as a partner organisation: we accompanied the national team, supported communications, and are preparing to share the developed materials with our community.

The LSRY programme focused on soft skills — abilities that help young people communicate better, build trust, make considered decisions, and manage school and life situations. The programme covered communication, time management, teamwork, creative thinking, leadership, organisation, ethics, flexibility, and more. The project’s idea is to equip young people, especially those with fewer opportunities and NEET, with tools to succeed in interviews, applications, deadlines, and on-the-spot decision-making.

Daily activities included team tasks, multimedia activities, practical workshops, energisers, interactive exercises, and work with interactive platforms.

The project aimed to strengthen the combination of soft and hard skills, directly supporting personal and academic/professional growth. The programme prepared participants for interviews, CV writing, public speaking, teamwork, and conflict resolution.

We thank the hosting team in Slatina and the staff of Hotel Bulevard Prestige for the organisation and conditions, the youth leaders and facilitators for their daily support, and all participants for their openness and motivation. We also thank the European Union for support under the Erasmus+ programme.
