The YOU(th) Decide !!! initiative aims to increase interest in youth participation among young people from different Visegrad regions while raising their awareness of its importance, potential and benefits for the local community.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
The YOU(th) Decide !!! initiative aims to increase interest in youth participation among young people from different Visegrad regions, while raising their awareness of its importance, potential and benefits for the local community.
We will achieve this by providing young people from the partner communities with the opportunity to develop the competences needed for active participation. Through a series of local meetings, we will assist local youth in identifying specific needs and potential barriers to participation.
Partnerships with associations that have close working relationships with communities will enable us to use local meetings to promote dialogue between young people and local authorities.
Experienced youth workers will help young people to communicate identified needs and barriers to the responsible authorities, while empowering them to be part of the solution and take initiative and responsibility.
The young leaders who joined our associations during the previous initiative will be directly involved in all phases of its continuation and will motivate young people with their success stories.
The final workshop and the following public conference will support young people in realizing their potential as autonomous and valuable members of civil society and encourage them to share this recognition with their peers. The YOU(th) Decide !!! initiative project does not remain at the theoretical level, but provides an opportunity for practical personal experience and helps young people to start facilitating information about opportunities for youth participation and its importance.
